Scaffolding Training is intended to give professional working knowledge and abilities in the procedures of safe scaffolding erection and takedown, as well as its inspection. This training will provide participants with all of the information they need to manage hazards and emergencies that may arise during the construction and removal of scaffolds. This scaffold training course is open to anyone interested in a career in scaffolding, as well as employees with basic knowledge of scaffold erection and takedown. Participants must be physically and mentally fit to execute scaffolding duties in the industry.

DESCRIPTION:

Scaffolding Erection & Dismantling is a comprehensive, one day course designed to give delegates the knowledge, skills and confidence who work erect or dismantle scaffolding structures at construction sites, warehouses or any type of workplace.

Line Managers, Supervisors and Individuals involved in Scaffolding Erection &
Dismantling

AIMS / OBJECTIVES:

The course is designed for staff members who are appointed as Managers, Supervisors
and workers involved in working with scaffolds.

  • Introduction to Scaffolds and it’s components
  • Types of Scaffolds
  • Identification of hazards of height, during scaffold erection and dismantling
  • General principles necessary to control them
  • Detail of standards for scaffold erection and dismantling
  • Recommending control measures to eliminate or control hazards
  • Recommending appropriate means to provide access and support
  • Recommended PPE for Work at Height.
  • Safe use of Ladders & Scaffolds

  • Introduction to Scaffold and types of scaffold
  • Purpose and use of various scaffold components, Inspection of components
  •  Type of activities which require scaffold platform
  • Common causes of accidents and control measures accordingly
  • Fall Protection Systems use of PFA and other PPE
  •  Safe use of scaffolds, Guardrail system
  • Describe Ladder Safety, three-point- climb
  • Good Housekeeping – Proper material handling on scaffolds
  • Describe debris nets
  • Steps for working at height (PTW)
  • General Safety Requirements

  • Practical of Erection and dismantling of scaffold tower
