Fire Watcher

What does a fire watcher do?

A fire watcher is assigned to hot work such as welding, cutting and grinding. They keep watch for sparks and fire during the work and for a period after it ends, keep an extinguisher ready, stop the work if conditions become unsafe and raise the alarm. Unlike a fire warden, who covers an area, a fire watcher covers one task.

Our course equips fire watchers with comprehensive knowledge encompassing fire classes, regulations, firefighting, fire extinguisher use, basic first aid for fire incidents, and crucial aspects of fire safety. Participants also gain insights into the specific roles and responsibilities associated with fire watching.

Fire Watcher Course is a comprehensive, one day course designed to give delegates the knowledge, skills and confidence to handle fire at workplace while any hot work is being performed. Awareness of role and responsibilities in case of fire and in case of non-fire
situation

Fire Watchers assigned to hot work such as welding, cutting and grinding.

AIMS / OBJECTIVES:

Course is designed for staffs who are appointed as Fire Watcher in their company. Students will learn the basic concept of firefighting; safe evacuation plans and Risks Assessment for their premises.

Discovering and reporting a fire
Hands on practical (use of fire extinguisher)
