How often must lifting equipment be inspected in the UAE?
There is no single UAE-wide interval. Many UAE projects and clients apply the UK LOLER benchmark: a thorough examination by a competent person at least every 12 months for cranes, hoists and forklifts, and every 6 months for lifting accessories and equipment that lifts people. Clients, authorities or manufacturers may require shorter intervals.

Unique identification and description of each item, its safe working load, the date of examination and the date the next one is due, any defects found and whether the item is safe to use, and the name of the competent person and inspection body.
